About The Foundation

Anap Foundation is a non-profit organisation that is committed to promoting Good Governance.

The initial focus has been on Nigeria because of an identified and embarrassingly large governance deficit that is prevalent in this country from which the bulk of our funding emanates.

It is hoped that in subsequent years we will eventually develop resources and skills that enable us to expand our activities to other jurisdictions where we perceive a governance deficit that we are equipped to help repair/fill.

The full registered name of the Foundation is:-
The Atedo N. A. Peterside Foundation (Anap Foundation)

In March 2020, the Anap Foundation COVID-19 Think Tank was hurriedly set up with the following Objectives.

1.    Act as a catalyst to enhance authorities’ response to COVID-19 and mobilize stakeholders around a coherent and effective action plan.

2.    Be a trusted & credible voice assisting with disseminating COVID-19 related information required to successfully manage the pandemic. We will do this by contributing accurate and relevant information required to beat the pandemic.

3.  Encourage positive interventions by federal, state and local governments; NGOs; private sector; traditional and religious institutions; and other stakeholders to support Nigeria’s capacity to manage COVID-19.

4. Advocate for the adoption of all health measures and behaviours necessary to ensure that Nigeria keeps the infection rate down and that decisions are inclusive and cover the diversity of incomes, beliefs, gender, ability, access, age and communication needs of Nigerians.
