Anap Foundation has also been collaborating with NOI Polls Limited to help publicise and institutionalise a polling culture which helps political leaders to be aware and more conscious of the yearnings of the electorate.
NOI Polls Limited conducts scientific periodic opinion polls in Nigeria in partnership with Gallup Poll (USA), the leading polling and opinion research organisation in the world.
Anap Foundation paid for Newspaper Adverts and radio jingles which publicised the findings of recent opinion polls conducted by NOI Polls Limited which tabulated the approval ratings of some of the major Nigerian Presidential Candidates as well as the issues which the electorate identified as being of primary significance to them when choosing a Nigerian Presidential Candidate viz Competence, Level of Education, Manifesto etc.
In the run-up to the April 2011 general elections, Anap Foundation commissioned NOI Polls Limited to carry out a nationwide poll on the Presidential elections and a statewide poll for the Lagos State Governorship elections. The results of these polls were announced at a televised Anap Foundation Press Conference which took place at 9 a.m. on Tuesday 22 March 2011 at the Victoria Crowne Plaza Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos. The polls predicted landlslide victories for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Governor Raji Fashola respectively. The eventual election results were very much in line with the findings of our polls.
In 2014, Anap Foundation commissioned NOI Polls to conduct opinion polls on the Ekiti State Gubernatorial election of June 2014. The results of the Polls were advertized in the newspapers weeks ahead of the election.
